League Rules

The J.A.M. league consists of 8 regular season games followed by a tournament in which each team is guaranteed 2 games. Teams that sign up for the league are expected to play all their scheduled games. It's the coaches responsibility to make sure this occurs. If your team cannot play a game, then the league MUST receive notice in writing two weeks prior to that game, so that we can replace your team. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR GAME WILL BE MADE UP!! We will do our best to find you another game.

Any team that is a "no-show" for a scheduled game and fails to provide timely written notification of their absence will be penalized and your scheduled opponent will be entitled to play your next game, or any game on your schedule that they choose because of your team's lack of consideration. Again, coaches, it's your responsibility to contact the league regarding potential schedule conflicts at least two weeks in advance of the game.

ROSTERS are due PRIOR the week of the third game. No changes thereafter without approval from the League.Team roster must include a minimum of eight (8) paid players. If your roster starts with 8 players and one player decides to drop off and receive a refund, the head coach is still responsible for filling that void or dividing that fee among the remaining players. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Teams can have as many players over eight as they desire. Coaches are responsible for seeing that all players are paid for and will be held financially responsible for any unpaid players.

Players can play on multiple teams. However, they must be listed on those team rosters and must pay an additional $75 for each team that they play on, with the minimum team fee still required.
Each team must provide an adult scorekeeper or bookkeeper for their game.

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT RULE: The JAM league assumes that all teams will participate in the post-season tournament as part of the league package. Teams will not be allowed to contact us the week of the tournament to say they will not be able to participate without penalties. If your team cannot participate, a team representative must email staff@jamball.com with the subject line: "cannot play" two weeks prior to the first game. If JAM does not receive this email within this timetable there will be a $100.00 penalty fee charged to the team's coach. Once the tournament games have been scheduled, gyms are assigned and paid, referees are assigned and paid, and your opponent is expecting to play their game. This penalty fee covers the cost of inconsiderate teams who fail to plan and choose not to show up for scheduled games.

By playing in the JAM league all teams agree to the JAM rules, regulations and expectations, as may be amended from time to time.
